          Conclusions Hydrocyclone can be successfully used for cell separation in continuous mammalian perfusion bioreactors. Cells adapt themselves to the shear forces inside the HC without being adversely affected by the pressure. Higher separation efficiencies up to 96% can be achieved depending on the operating HC pressure.
